I suppose mom and Dad are the supreme for every individual in this world. Without them we are not in this world. Immaterial of any religion , I feel this is very true. And you may ask question like then why everyone seeks God including parents. Yes, if there are certain things that can not be solved or fixed by parents , we seek the eternal power or force. There have been so many theories, believes, philosophies….. and immaterial of everyone of them…always follow good thoughts, good intuition and good judgement.

We should not say ourself Chamar or Sudras because these words are belongs to Hindus if we accepting it or saying ourself a Chamar then we are a part of Hindus . We do not wanna be a part of this myths religion. So we should get free from this BS thinking. We are India ‘s great people and India is belong to us not to the 15%Arians.
So be brave and throw out these given names like Chamars ,
Churas, jats, nai etc. etc.
We are only belong to humanity not to casteism.
Reason castism are only exists in either in animal or in Hindus. So we are not belong to both.

1)The Caste System Within Sikhs
2)GET THE CASTE SYSTEM OUT OF SIKHI…
I really did enjoy these vidoes although I dont support these Khalistani other links to these videos.
I can still say that there are some sikhs that want to unite the all castes but let us not to forget that we as Ravidass (Chumar) Regonise Guru Ravidass as one of the important Gurus that also tried to eradicate and remove the Caste system. It is ashame that these videos forgot to mention ALL parts of the Guru Granth sahib. I can see now why Ravidassi want to go seperate. What happened to mentioning Guru Ravidass? I know it might be a good idea to mentioning it on their You Tube site but I cannot see it making a bit of a difference.
I do love ALL of the Guru Granth Sahib but they should not try and read and quote only the 10 Sikh Gurus but other Gurus from the Guru Granth Sahib too! Peace! 🙂

There is no doubt that we should always respect Guru Granth Saheb which is pious bani containing message of Gurus and Bhagats of Bhakti movement, including 40 hymns & one shlok of Guru Ravidas Maharaj.
But it is better to recognise yourself, your past and set the path for the future.
The issue is not who is supreme for a community but it is important who is making efforts to give you identity. It is Dera Ballan, which for the last 100 years trying to spread the Bani of Guru Ravidas, identify manage and run the birth place at Seer Goverthanpur Kanshi, consolidate the total Bani of Guru Ravidas at one place and run schools and Hospitals for general public. Therefore if there is a better person, guru, bhagat or even organisation that has done more than Dera Ballan, we can examine the same. Till than, Jai Ravidas and thanks to Dera Ballan to show path to the downtroden. -Joginder Pal

We have faith in Guru Granth Sahib as we have faith in Bible, Koran or Torah but we don’t follow them. We have our own Granth Amrit Bani. Amrit Bani and Guru Ravidass Ji is supreme for us. Guru Granth Sahib is supreme for Sikhs not for us.
There are 7 billion people in world who have nothing to do with GGs and they also attain salvation. Dera Ballan is the prime source of inspiration for our community in today’s world.
You can keep following GGS and follow Sikh mariada. We can’t follow any Mariada which enslaves us or which forces other doctrines on us. We followed GGS before and those Maraiadas which were foced upon us enslaved us and they had no place in GGS.
Some people say we should not leave GGS because it doesn’t say anything bad. It is true but we don’t live inside GGS, we live amongst human beings and if follows of Guru Granth Sahib discriminate and kill in the name of Guru Granth Sahib than it means nothing to us. Even Koran, Bible, Torah doesn’t preach inequality, why don’t you follow it..?
The bottom line, let sikhs have their own path and we have our own path.

there are many ravidassia gurudwaras where dera balan rules are not allowed.
sikhs don’t have any castes,how they enslave us ?
how can we live inside SGGS ji?

but only SGGS ji inspires science .!!
Guru Nanak bani tells there are many galaxies and planets.it was over 500 year old written,

I am a Sikh. All Sikhs who discriminate cant be true Sikhs. In Sikhism all Castes are same , whether Brahmins , Jats , Chamars , khatris etc In fact the last name should be removed from our names. Surprisingly it really hurts that Sikhism is a religion in which every body eats Langar in pangat and Panj Piaras were from all castes and in Punjab we find so much discrimination. If a Sikh feels he is from a higher caste then he does’nt know anything about his religion.

What we chamars have we made with our own hands unlike the farmers and landed gentry who were awarded economically and has given land for their service to the British Crown. We were poor but we had honour and didn’t sell out. It is a fact that General Dyer the butcher of Jallianwala bagh was awarded a ‘siropha’ from Harmandir Saheb, whilst we chamars were forbidden to go pass the fourth step of the temple. Gill is also a chura/valmiki surname. Surnames in the punjab cut accross so many castes. Why do so many jatt surnames do that?. So much for the recent clan theory of the jatts, theory devised by the jatts to say that they are a clan not a caste. Absolute rubbish. We are all related in one way or another and our surnames inducate that.

Hello friend some of the chammars are like “Thalli de Baingan” they made chamarvaad and sikhi as source of income when they d’nt see any benifit in them they go back and forth and say bad about each others here and there the Biggest example is Dr.Harchand Singh in Seattle WA .He used to go to Renton Gurudwara and donate them money too.Then he suddenly realized that he is chamaar(when he got into trouble or something with fellow sikhs at Reanton Gurudwara) and then he opened his own Chammar Gurudwara in Tukwila then he got into trouble with other chammars there again and went back to Renton gurudwara.What a shame?He can’nt even decide, he want to be with sikhi or Community these type of people are a shame for sikhi and their communities coz they can’nt decide who they r ?For their own publicity they use their religions.

This is a response to Mr. Chander, yes I am a Jatt, I don’t quite know what I am doing on this site, some research has led me here, nevertheless, I don’t have any apologises for posting on this site.
I don’t have hatred for any caste or creed, I’m glad that the chaamars are proud of themselves, but not under false pretence of masking themselves as some Jatts, as this is both wrong and smacks of an inferiority complex.
I encourage the upliftment of any socially deprived groups, but please do so on your own merits, not using the name of other ethnic groups.

Mr Raj you just do not get it, obviously your research is very limited and leading you to a dead and. The charge you are levelling at chamars is the same nonsense arguement the brahmins charged against the jats. Case in being Bhatti is a rajput and jatt surname, simalarly Rai. It is nonesensical arguement because all surnames originate from the area / village people settled in for example; nagra, banga, khera, Rai, Gill etc.. these are generic to a lot of castes. So your argument is not only based on a false premise but is blinkered by your own caste prejudice.
If you are for the upliftment of the poor castes as was the intention of the gurus and the khalsa ‘har manas ki ek jhaat pechanabu’ then do something about and not pay lip service, ONLY THEN CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF A SIKH, these are the gurus words not mines. RESPOND IN KIND PLEASE>

@chander – this is completely wrong bro. The surnames you just listed are only Jatt names and not common generic village or area names. Brahmins in village have their own surnames. Khatris have their own surnames and Jatts have their own surname which is also sometimes name of village as founders of those villages are Jatt or Gujjar etc. Chamars did not live within the village but in a separate area called “Chamarli” on the outside of the village or at some distance from the village. When it comes to Chamars and Nai, Jheer etc, mostly they have no last names of their own and that is the reason they start using Jatt names. They should not do this, but devise their own new names.

I’m afraid you don’t know what you are talking about. Rajputs, Jatts and Gujjars all share some ancestry, hence Bhatti being a shared clan name. Where do Brahmins come into the equation?

You have no grasp of what Jatts are, we are a tribal ethnic group, migrating late into Northern India, divided into Sikhs/Muslims/Hindus. This is what was attempted by Great Dasham Patshah, which is totally forgotten by present day jatts. Guru wanted to make us Sikhs & not Jatts. Please stop claiming the ancestory as Jatt if you are a real sikh, which I believe you are. Chamars need to continue to remember great sikh Gurus but must start studying their own ancestory, archeology, history and literature. No body following Guru Ravidas Ji Bani. We are making statue of Guru Ravidas Ji, but Guru Ji opposed it. There is no doubt that some people in Some Caste in sikh (Jatt, Ramgarhia, Rajpoot) they don’t think we are equal with them. But the true sikh don’t think that way. I have lot of Jat friend in Europe. Those people always think that all sikh are sikh and people how think about caste are not real sikhs. We should not divide into different community.
BTW, majority of Chammar out side of India, they believe only in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
So don’t divide but Join and face those people who believe in lower or higher caste.

I agree with Raj. JATT is a race not a caste, which is why you can not say that the last names are DIVIDED, they are not. Jatt last names were stolen, hence Jatts aren;t even INDIAN orgininally, they were afghan/persians. SO do not say that JATT last names are SHARED, they are not. as for superiority complex.. jatt is not = chamar. why? because chamar= caste jatt=race. not saying any is better, but they are not equal.

Glad to see such a good website….and i congratulate the administrator…
its been more than 65 yrs of independence and we as a community have progressed a lot. the reservation given by govt to us is really helping.. but not all of our community members have benefited from this except the “creamy layer”. anyways…even today i get to listen to word “chamar” in a derogatory sense…it hurts…really…i am a post graduate and writing UPSC mains this year…if i tell anyone about my exam ppl say..ok..fine..u have category na…everytime i clear any exam..its the same thing…
Once 4 of us category people cleared the written exam in general list and none of us was able to make it into the general final list (after interview)..nobody would wants us to grow..what if the reservation is not there..we ll not be able to breathe..
and please let us do something as far as the words higher caste and lower caste is concerned, they should be replaced with something humane or should be used as “higher caste” or “lower caste”. everytime i read it like above…it hurts…really…
we have so good opportunity in the form of reservation..let us motivate our people to utilise it fully , adn we as a community grow and develop so that our children dont need it

I just don’t get it…
calling yourself ravidasia/ramdasia sikh,jatt sikh or any other tag-along sikh is simply wrong…i feel really sorry for people who call themselves sikh and simultaneously talk about all this useless stuff…
I mean just look at the man in the mirror and ask ” am I a chamar or a sikh?,am I a jatt or a sikh?,am I from a caste or am I a sikh?”… If you still have doubts…then you’re probably not a sikh!…cause you cannot be both…that would just be a SHAME…if you’ve been given a chance to be a sikh then at least respect it’s principles…
you might say all this is easy to say….and if i could just be in your shoes,i would’ve known…but i don’t care for any of that crap!…just be right in yourself and your not alone…

I agree it is an antithesis of terms. Tribalism will die out as the the world become a truly global village. People will be forced to question the values they hold.This is because every human being is endowed and underscored with humanistic values irrespective of his or her caste or religion or whatever background.Think. People only follow their religion because they want to belong to some religion because of tribalism. Nowadays we all know religion is less significant and that is why we don’t practice it to the letter. Stand back and see what it really is. Now look at what humanism stands for. It says ‘treat others in the same manner you want yourself to be treated. Be kind to our fellow human beings. Love one another. Be kind and be respectful to each other. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all practised that? How many religions say that? Some do, not all. Hinduism does not certainly because the bottom line of hinduisn is caste and caste is racism and discrimination. Islam is only interested in Muslim brotherhood and persecuting kafirs. Sikhism also promotes oneness of God and sikh botherhood but does not dispect others as human beings, even though many sikhs still adhere to the caste system who are really charlton sikhs, as neither does not buddhism and jainism both respect the sanctity of life. Christianity also displays humanistic values.
Humanism is a true and universal ‘religion’ a formula for human co existenace. This is the true and only religion for humanity. For us all to co-exist we will have to compromise our religiions and accept that humanism has the highiest form of values to strive for for practical reasons. Religions lead to division, strife, violence and destruction between human beings and history bears witness evidently. Humanism brings people together. Guru Ravidass and others strived for exactly that. Guru Ravidass was a great humanist and a socialist 400 years even before the likes of Karl marx and the communists. A great son of mankind. Humanism will eventually supercede all inhuman practices and systems.

I don’t know why you are wasteing your breath on these lot and the website. I have just realised this website is run for Ravidassia Hindu Chamars. Neither the Website adminstrator nor the people leaving their surnames have any affinity with the Ravidassia Sikhs or Sikhism. Vast majority of the contributors do not realise this. They have nothing to do with Sikhism and have created their own religion and holy book, symbols, etc as propagated by the Dera Ballan. I myself, as a true sikh, will continue to believe that I am Sikh by Religion, following the teachings of all the Satgurus in the Guru Granth Sahib (GGS) and regard Satgur Ravidass as our Patron Saint, which is our right to believe as such. The move by the Dera Ballan is a retrograte contrary to the teaching and mission of Guru Ravidass. Guru Ravidass met and held discourses with many of the Bhakta Movement saints and had planned Sikh religion together with the Satguru Nanak, who was also Bhagat. Kabir, Ravidass, Nanak were all left wing and revolutionaries rebelling against Brahminism. It was not a task for just one person but a collective effort. They tried to bring about a religious and a social revolution in India. It takes a an educated and intellectual mind to understand these great men. Under Brahmincal caste system they suffered so much so they wanted to change the system and supplant the system. They wanted to eradicate the caste system and bring about a casteless society such as the societies we see in the west. Everybody should be working for that same mission if you are true believers and followers of Ravidass or Nanak, for they did not believe or follow caste as they worked together as a team for lofty ideals. If they did beleive in the caste system they would have stayed from each other due to caste rules. We should all be doindg that. We should as true sons and daughters of these great men should take on their mission forward not take it back to what they were getting away from.

@Anonymous – Jatt is a tribal idenity and not a caste in fact. This is why Jatts have been mentioned as far as back to 700AD or even earlier. One can be a Sikh and Jatt no problem, just as one can be English or French and Christian.

In Bengal Late Ramananda Das,Ex.Member of Parliament who hailed from Chamar Community,was a great social reformer and worked rigorously and untiredly for the improvement of Social and Economical condition of the down trodden communities not only in Bengal but throughout India.He was one of the founder of Bharatiya Depressed Classes League and was 1st President of Bengal Provincial Depressed Classes League.
His name deserves a place amongst the famous Chamars of India.

it is good to be united but at the same time we will make sure that we chamar should not criticise others and hurts their feelings, others will find it bad as it feels to us. moreover if we also start doing the same thing then what is the difference between chamar and others. chamars are today rising because of the straight forwardness, their loyality and honesty and no doubt hardwork.. we chamar are the true Indians, and should work for the development of India and Chamars.

No because Chamars were untouchables per Hindu caste system, nobody want to steal their names lol. Chamars were all extremely poor farm labourers or scavengers until 1950s when they got benefit of reservations. I am not against Chamars in any way. I have quite a few chamar friends, but please dont try to use other people’s names. Most chamars are using other caste names because they dont have their own names. Instead of using others names, please make some new names for yourself which is the right thing to do.

Why don’t chamars have common surnames based on region they belong.Other caste have distinguished surnames and their caste can be known just by surnames, but chamars are copying surnames of higher castes such as verma,singh etc and are not known publicily in society untill their children apply for some entrance/jobs forms after 12 th ,then people came to know their caste .Other option is to discard completely the surnames based on caste rather adopt surnames based on region.

Verma is a chamar surname see-: Utpala dynasty… and singh is the surname of saka peoples and not only Chamaros but other Hindus have also adopted the Singh surname.

Pradeep your comment has already been answered else in this website if you care to surf other sections. Chamars use surnames which are their family names for centuries ontold. Chamars don’t use surnames of other castes but their surnames may cut accross other castes which happens quite a lot in the punjab. I don’t know about verma but singh is often used by sikh chamars as well as other sikhs as prescribed by the sikh Guru. Secondly rather than region they come from , personally I believe it would be better that not just the chamars but all other castes use the ancestral village names as surnames to remove obvious caste distinctions. Ultimately when caste discrimination disappears in india nobody need to state their caste on application form. It is not chamars who who need to think about that but all the Indians.

Respected Pradeep Ji I would like to tell you that Chamars are the original residents of this country and not migrated from other continents. If you are not aware you can read the history. We don’t copy surnames. What is the problem with you people it is very difficult to understand. You can accept any person from Nepal, Bangladesh, Tibbet, Bhutan, Srilanka, Afghanistan and from any country of the world but not orignal residents of this country known as “Chamar”. Why? Can you explain? Can you explain how many people from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, Tibbet are living in India and utilising the resources which are for the Indian nationals. No you can’t explain. Because everytime you see only Chamars. Remember these people are hard worker and honest. What do you mean by higher caste? Which constitution or law you follow. You want to know us publicily in society that we are Chamar? Why people wants to know our caste. I have a good advise for you that keep busy yourself in your own work and do not disturb other people. Let the nation develop.

Gotra name like Vashisht, Kashyap, Attri, Agastya etc. are shared by different castes and are also shared across different parts of India. Moreover, these gotra names are known to everyone as they are important for marriage relationships, many ceremonies etc. Many Chamars use these regularly and Arya Samaj and DAV Schools movement had also advocated their use even during the British Rule.

सार्ष्टि के दो पहलू है. जाहीर सी बात है कि इस दुनियां में सब कुछ एक समान नहीं हो सकता.
दुनियां में हर तरह का मनुष्य हर युग और समय-समय पर कही भी और कभी भी हो सकते है .
जैसे कि गुरु रवि दास जी महाराज हुवे, बाबा साहब हुवे और इनसे पहले भी ना जाने कितने
गुरु और संत पुरुष हमारी कोम में पैदा हुवे, हाँ ये अलग बात है, कि हम हमारे इतिहास को अच्छी
तरह नहीं जानते. लेकिन ये कहना ग़लत होगा कि इनसे हर मनुष्य और हर वर्ग घर्णा करता था
क्यों कि इस बात को सर्व- साधारण अच्छी तरह जनता है कि बाबा साहब जी को उस ज़माने में
किस-किसने और कितनी सहायता दी थी. और बाबा साहब ने समय का सदुपयोग जितने अच्छे
ढंग से किया इस बात का आज मै और आप हम सब साक्षी है. मगर ऐसे लोग सिर्फ चुनिन्दा है
जिन्होनें इन संत पुरषों और हमे सर आँखों पे बिठाया.
जहाँ तक सवाल एकता का है तो ये एक कटु सत्य है कि हम लोगों में ये कमी आज नहीं बहुत
पहले से है अगर ऐसा नहीं होता तो जिस बाबा साहब ने हम लोगों को घुलामीं से मुक्ति दिलाई
उस महान पुरुष को हमने उस ज़माने में पहली बार में ही संविधान सभा पहुंचा दिया होता
मग़र अफ़सोस कि वो लड़ते रहे हमारे लिए यहाँ, और चुनाव जीतेभी तो कहाँ जाकर पश्चिम बंगाल
और वह भी शायद तीसरी बार में और आप कहतें है कि…………….!!
खैर.. जाने दीजिये. ये एक कभी ना ख़त्म होने वाला विषय हमारे साथ जुडा हुआ है जिस पर हम और
आप हमेशा तर्क-वितर्क करते रहेंगें. फिर भी इतना ज़रूर कहूँगा कि, हमे अपनी आने वाली पीढ़ी को अपने

कब पैदा हुवे थे और आज हम बाबा साहब जी की कितनवी जयंती मन रहें है…..? बाकी सब तो
जाने दीजिये. आप खुद जानियेगा कि सौ में से मुश्किल से अगर दस बच्चे आपको सही बता दें तो बड़ी ख़ुशी
की बात होगी अन्यथा आपको निराश होना ही पड़ेगा…! क्यों कि हमारे अंदर एकता और भाईचारे की कमी है
हम सव्यं एक दुसरे को निचा तो दिखा सकतें है, मगर सही ज्ञान नहीं दे सकते.
आप सब तो काफी समय से इस संस्था से जुड़ें है और पढ़े लिखे समझदार भी हैं, मुझे इतनी जानकारी नहीं
है. परिवार बड़ा होने के कारण ज्यादा पढ़ नहीं सका.फिर भी, आप सभी के सन्देश सरहनीय है और जो एकजूटता
कि कमी है वह भी धीरे-धीरे कम हो रहीहै और गुरु जी कृपा रही तो ये कमी भी दूर हो जायगी. मै आप सभी से एक
गुज़ारिश ज़रूर करूँगा कि आप,और हम चाहे कही भी रहें, जिसके पास जो भी जानकारी हो यहाँ आयें और सबको

The chamars and other low castes, due to poverty, had a reason to go abroad to seek their fortune. What I don’t understand is why the Jatts went abroad ?. They had their farms to look after them of which they are so proud. Why did they leave to work as labourers in factories in England and their women worked at airports as cleaners cleaning laterines. I thought they were very proud of farming. This shows the jatts are quite happy to prostitute themselves for money. Even after all this they are still happy to call themselves as jatts. It is so sad that this poorly educated blind and ignorant Jatt is so full of excrement that so much is pouriing out of his mouth. I have many decent jatt friends but this vile monster is an embodiment of evil. He has not only said pretty bad stuff against Sikh Sant Satguru Ravidass, who was highly revered by all the Sikh Gurus but also the Temples where the Guru Granth Sahib is seated, the Gurdwaras, and by saying all that has also defiled Sikhi. Sikhi was inspired by God, who chose all the prophets mentioned in the Guru Granth Sahib as his mouth piece and to do his work. Little does he know that he has insulted a Sikh Saint who is give equal position as other Saints and Gurus.He so stupid that he even bows to him and his shaloks when he goes to the Sikh temple.He obviously knows nothing about Sikhi and the Mission of Guru Nanak nor Guru Govind Singh. He says he was educated at a grammar school, which most likely to be untrue due to his poor use of English. He has no other way of expressing his resentment against lower caste Sikhs, who are now thriving and done better than Jatts in every field and this rise will continue. He seems to have come from the hell of the slums of Southall, west London conjecturing from the slang use of ‘innit’. Many young jatts are so devoid of education and intelligence lacking discretion, base the name of whole of their caste. Guru Nanak loved and worked with the lower caste Saints and even received the ‘Sacha Sauda’ from them and Guru Govind Singh recruited 90% of his Khalsa from lower castes. He doesnot know the story of ‘Bhago’ and ‘lallo’. He comes from bhago background. Professor Ranjit Singh in his book ‘The Sikh Revolution’ says that the membership of Jatts in sikhism was extremely low and most did not join Sikh Mission for spiritual reasons. They came into sikhism much later after the khalsa was created. No one jatt from the Punjab stood up and had the courage to offer his head to Guru Govind Singh’s sword at the creation of Khalsa ceremony and mostly low castes stood up. So much for ‘soormay’ jatts. They came into sikhism as mercenaries asked Guru Govind Singh for money if He wanted their help. Professor Ranjit Singh cites the Brar tribe as an example. They came in droves when they saw money in the temples. They came for money and fought for money. They do not have love or respect for Sikhi. Many reports in newspapers have highlighted them to have married their sisters to help them to get into canada, for example, the marriage ceremonies conducted WITH the Guru Granth Sahib. Well reported fact in the newspapers, which I read for myself. They also contract fictious marriages WITH the Guru Granth Sahib to help them to stay in UK, USA or Canada.They have no respect for the mission of the mahapurush Gurus, who died and sacrificed everything they had for the noble cause. The Jatts have highjacked and taken over the Amritsar Akaal Takht and maintain monopoly over its power structures and do not want to share its booty and that is exactly why they do not let anybody near the committee or its money. They have stunted the growth of Sikhism and do not like to expand or want new membership from lower castes as they fear losing monopoly of power at Amritsar. They have no respect for sikhi but use Sikhi for profit. Had they such respect for the Gurus and Sikhi they would be humble and see all sikhs as brothers which is what the sikh Khalsa Brotherhood was about . They have put a wedge between themselves and other sikhs. Pride in their higher shudra caste has blinded them. It is not just the Ravidassia Sikhs but also all the other Sikh castes who privately resent and despise them for destroying the dream of the Gurus. Not just this ‘Shit4Life’ but many maniac jatts like him have no respect for sikhi and what it stand for but proudly wear their karrahs(Steel bangles) and partly shorn beards and cut hair covered with commando style ramals(hankies) and drive around towns in cars with Jatt registration numbers, drink alcohol and take drugs and chase girls and everything that comes out of their mouths is jatt this and jatts that.and yet they call themselves ‘sikhs’. Such a pathetic and shameless lafangey and awaare. They need to go back to sikh schools and LEARN and PRACTISE the Sikhi of the Gurus and understand and practice humility.. As far as this Shit4Life is concerned I wonder what the the Gurus have in store for him for insulting the Gurus and the Guru Granth Sahib and the Sikhi. You will get your just reward. Sorry didn’t get to respond to you earlier…been away few day days. I am honoured by your request to which I will give some thought. Just to let you know I have contributed to your website under the name lakhpati and few times as anonymous. I visit other websites also and have made thought provoking contributions on prevalent contemporary topics under discussion. I am profoundly interested in our community and its development, be it religious, political, economic or cultural etc. Since you have read many of my comments you can see that what I want is the best for our community. Apart from the Punjab, religious faith amongst chamars in whole of India can be revolutionalised if we can get all chamars and lower castes to follow and accept that they don’t need now to follow hindu religous dieties any more because they have their patron saint Guru Ravidass, who has shown us the way to God. Political revolutions are very often preceded by religious revolutions. This will lead to ‘dream’ coming true. Don’t worry about dogs barking they will bark makes no difference to the elephant. I am from Chamar community; time has changed now, people are least bothered about your cast. I am 29 year old and had a true relationship with all my 3 girlfriends, who came 1 after 1 in my life, 1st one was a Brahmin, second was Saini and 3rd one is from Jatt community. I never conceal my identity from them. I loved them like anything, all were dying to marry me however their parents did not allow them to do so. 3rd one tried to commit suicide against their parent’s decision. Later on her parents agreed to our marriage and now she is my wife and we are happily living our life from last 2 years with a 4 month old baby boy. Her other sister married to a NRI Jatt boy. She is not happy with her husband at all as he is an alcoholic and use to drink a lot and she is being treated as a servant at home. My in-law’s are quite happy with me and their decision. I am taking care of my in law’s like their real son. Now they have entirely changed their view point on casteism.
I think only inter-cast marriages can help to abolish casteism in India. So we should promote inter-caste marriages.

Why do you guys have names of Giani Ditt Singh Ji, Beant Singh, Basant Singh Khalsa, Harinder Singh Khalsa? Don’t label them as Ravidassias, they are Sikhs! If Giani Ditt Singh was still alive he would definitely opposse this religion.

I would like to thank for all discussions on this website. I am really surprised that I was not apprised of all these developments being daily internet user since last many years. I stupid so engrossed in my job that even I never had time to think about my own family members. But I assure to this great community that I will give my whole life for upliftment of downtrodden.
My sincere advice to all by brothers and sisters to educate, Unite, Agitate . Education is base for struggle.
We can respect all till the time we are not hurt. But we can not keep quiet if disrespected.

, हमारे गुरु संत रविदास का नाम आते ही दलित समाज की चमार जाती मे स्वाभीमान का उदय होता है ओर एक सच्चा चमार उनके प्रति श्र् द्धा ओर सम्मान से अभीभुत हो जाता है हमे गर्व है की हम चमार है ओर हमारे गुरु को ना केवल भारत ,बल्की सारा संसार”संत शिरोमणी गुरु रविदास” के नाम पर शीश झुकाता है !रविदासजी ने मनुवाद का वीरोध कर ब्राह्म्णो को हकीकत का आइना तो दिखाया ही , चमारो को भी जाग्रत किया! रविदासजी मह्ज एक स्ंत नही थे वे जन चेतना की एक मशाल थे समाज को जोड्ना एव ब्राह्म्णो के थोथे कर्मो से समाज को सजग करना यही उंनके आदर्श थे ! हमे गर्व हे की बाबा साहेब आम्बेड्कर की सोच से आज हम इस मुकाम पर है !! की हम टाइ बान्धते हे ,कम्प्युट्र्र चलाते है ,कारो मे घुमते हे, यह सब बाबा साहेब की देन है !! पर क्या हम अपने गुरु के एवम बाबा साहेब केआदर्शो ,पर दो कदम भी चले है.?. नही क्योकी हमारे समाज के शिक्षित लोग आज भी अपनी जात बताने मे संकोच करते हे बाबा साहेब दलितो की हर भवना से परिचीत थे इसलिये उन्होने कहा था “दलित समाज को उसका शिक्षित वर्ग ही डुबायेगा”ओरआज यह प्रमाणित हो रहा हे !!हमारे समाज का बडा भाग आज भी निरक्षर हे !ओर जो शिक्षितहै वो अपने को समाज से अलग मानता हे, श्रेस्ठ मानता हे ,यही कारण हे की हमारा समाज अन्य समाजो की तुलना मे काफी पिछडा हुवा है!! …. हमारेसमाज की अगली पंक्ति के लोग चाहेवह जनप्रतिनिधी हो या प्रशाशनिक अधिकारी,जब तक वे पदो पर रहे उन्होने कभी पलट कर समाज की तरफ नही देखा !जब पद मुक्त या सेवानिव्रत हुये तब उन्हे समाज की याद आइ! वह भी इसलिये की पद मुक्ती या सेवानिव्रती पर उनके दिमाग मे राजनैतिक कीडे काट्ने लगे तब ऐसे लोगो को एक मंच की जरुरत होती है ओर ऐसे लोग समाज को अपना मंच बना लेते है ओर समाज कोगुमराह करते है कभी जात का नाम बदलने के नाम पर,तो कभी परिचय सम्मेलन के नाम पर,उदाहरण के लिये,(श्रीलालारामजीकटारीया प्राचार्य पद पर रहे60वर्शो तक इन्हे समाज याद नही आया तथा श्री प्रहलाद अमरचीया डीप्ती कलेक्टर पद पर रहे तब इन्हे समाज याद नही रहा)सेवानिव्रत होते ही इन्होने 07/04/2013 को रविदास धर्मशाला मै मीटींग रखकर् जात बदलने हैतु मुहीम चालु करदी !!ऐसे कइ उदाहरण है
,13/05/2012 को हमारे शिक्षित लोगो द्वारा जाती का नाम बदलकर मेघवाल रखने के लिये पर्चे बांट कर सम्मेलन आयोजीत किया गया इसमे भी ये लोग मेघवाल के नाम पर प्रंतीय पदाधिकारी थे सम्मेलन के असफल होने पर ,ये लोग फीर गुजराती चमार बन गये ! फीर इन्ही शिक्षितो द्वारा परिचय सम्मेलन के नाम पर रास्ट्रीय समीति बनाइ जिसमे ये लोग रास्ट्रीय पदाधिकारी बने ,जो 13/05/2012 को मेघवाल बने थे समाज के इन शिक्षित सेवानिव्रत लोगो को यदी अंतर्रास्ट्रीय पदाधिकारी बना दिया जाय तो ये लोग किसी भी जाती मै शामील होसकते है,चाहे मेघवाल हो या मेह्तर इन्हे कोइ फर्क नही पडता !समाज का बेडा ऐसे ही गर्क होता है!! हमारे शिक्षित बुध्दीमान लोगो को समाज से कोइ लेना -देना नही है ,इनको सीर्फ अपने दिमाग मे कोतुहल कर रहे राजनैतिक किडो की चाहत को पुरा करना ही इनका मुख्य ध्येय है !! …. 4/11 /2012 को उज्जैन मे परिचय सम्मेलन आयोजीत किया गया जिसमे मुख्य अतिथि के रुप मे श्री इन्द्रेश गज्भीये को बुलाया गया था श्री इन्द्रेश गज्भीये ने अपने सम्बोधन मे हमारी माता-बहनो की मजाक् यह कहकर उडाइ की”समाज मे मास्टर की बीवी अपने आप को हेड मास्टर समझती है, सिपाही की बीवी अपने आप को टी.आइ.समझती है,और पटवारी की बीवी अपने आप को तह्सिलदार या एस.डी.एम् समझती है !” जब यह मजाक् उडाइ जा रही थी तब हमारे शिक्षित बुध्दीमान ,रास्ट्रीय पदाधिकारी मंच पर विराजमान थे और जोर-जोर से तालीया बजा रहे थे ,तालीया बजाने वालो मै ( रास्ट्रीय,अध्यक्ष ,रास्ट्रीय उपाअध्यक्ष ,रास्ट्रीय सचीव , महासचीव ,उज्जैन जिले के अध्यक्ष सहीत) कइ हमारे शिक्षित ,बुध्दीमान शामील थे ! …. 04 /11 /2012 को आयोजीत परिचय सम्मेलन मे “अन्धा बांटे रेवडी ,अपुन अपुन को देय” वाली कहावत सुनने की बजाय देखने को मिली ! परिचय सम्मेलन के लिये हर समाज बन्धुओ से चन्दा लिया गया लेकीन रास्ट्रीय समिती के एक पदाधिकारी जो की रास्ट्रीय,अध्यक्ष एवम रास्ट्रीय सचीव के खास रिश्तेदार थे, ने भी 5000/- चन्दा दिया था उनकी पांच पिडीयो के फोटो पत्रीका मे प्रकाशित किये गये ! इस सम्मेलन मे हमारी उभरती प्रतिभओ का भी मजाक उडाया गया की कार्यक्रम के अंत मे जब मुख्य अतिथी एवम 60% लोग जा चुके थे ,तब प्रतिभा सम्मान किया गया ऐसे है हमारे शिक्षित ,बुध्दीमान !! वो भी क्या करते रास्ट्रीय समिती के किसी भी पदाधिकारीयो की संताने प्रतिभा सम्मान के योग्य नही थी ,ओर जिनका सम्मान होना था,उनको रास्ट्रीय समिती के पदाधिकारी पंसद नही करते थे इस कारण प्रतिभा सम्मान की महज ओपचारिकता पुरि की गयी , ऐसे है हमारे शिक्षित ,बुध्दीमान !!

आपकी सोच ओर आपके विचारो की मै कद्र करता हु ! लैकीन आज भी हमारे पढे लिखे लोग अपनी जाती बताने मे संकोच करते है ये हम सभी चमारो का दुर्भाग्य है ये हमारे गुरु रविदास ओर बाबा साहेब की सोच ओर उनके विचारो का अपमान है मै भी मालवा खण्ड रविदास गुजराती समाज कल्याण समिती का सचिव हु और पुरे म.प्र, का अध्ययन कर चुका हु! चमारो का 90% हिस्सा गांवो मे रहता है उसके बारे मे हमारे पढे लिखे लोगो सोचना चाहीये ! तभी हमे सामाजिक स्वतंत्रता मील सकेगी

हमे चमार किसने बनाया ? बनाने वाले ने सिर्फ मानव बनाया – सभी मानवो का रुप ,रंग, समान है ,खुन सभी का लाल है , मानव -मानव की क्रिया समान है फिर ये जात-पात कहा से आई ? जात -पात सब मनुवादीयो का खेल है ब्राम्हणो का वजुद बना रहे ! ब्राम्हणो के इस खेल को गुरु रविदास ने पुरी तरह नकार दिया ,फीर बाबा साहेब ने न केवल नकारा बल्की , इस खेल मे दलीतो को भी ब्राम्हणो के विरुध्द एक जुट करने के लिये संविधान मे आरक्षण का प्रावधान कर ,मनुवादीयो को एक प्रकार की चुनोती दी ! लेकिन हमारा समाज आज भी वही खडा है , ? क्या हम गुरु रविदास एवम बाबा साहेब के बताये मार्ग पर दो कदम भी चले ? अगर हम दो कदम भी चले होते तो आज समाज बुलन्दी

जैसा की हम सभी जानते है की भारत मे चमारो की संख्या सबसे ज्यादा होने के बावजुद ,हमारी पहचान नही के बराबर है ? क्योकी हम 22 फीरको मे बंटे हुवे है क्या गुरु रविदास जी एवम बाबा
साहेब भी किसी एक फीरके से थे ? जब बाबा साहेब ने हमे “संग्ठीत रहो ” शिक्षित बनो”स्ंघर्ष करो”
का मार्ग दिखाया क्या वह किसी फीरके विशेष के लिये था ? नही …वह सभी चमारो के लिये था
भाईयो वास्तव मे समाज को प्रगतिशिल बनाना हे तो हमे फीरको की दिवार को गीराना होगा ओर
” हम सब चमार है ” पर अमल करना ही होगा ! तभी हम आगे बढ सकेंगे ,आज समाज के 10%
लोग शिक्षित है ओर 90%लोग अशिक्षित ,,,10% लोग् शह्ररो मे ओर् 90%लोग् गांवो मे निवास करते है हमे 22फीरको के साथ -साथ 90%लोगो को”संग्ठीत” करने का प्रयास करना ही होगा ! यदी
हमारे 10% शिक्षितो मे से 01% लोग भी इस पर अमल करे ,तो समाज का स्वरुप कुछ ओर होगा
एवम हमे गर्व होगा ,आत्म संतुष्टी होगी की हम बाबा साहेब के बताये मार्ग पर चलने का प्रयास

Unite all SC STs under one flag, do not divide ourselves in chamars, ravidasia, Sikh ramdasia, balmiki, majabee etc whatever it is. This is the only way to fulfil the dream of Dr. Ambedkar. मध्यप्रदेश के मालवा क्षेत्र मे समाज को बांटने का प्रयास — -म.प्र. का मालवा क्षेत्र जो की हर क्षेत्र मे समपन्न माना जाता है यहा पर राजनेतिक दलो द्वारा जातिगत समीकरणो के आधार पर विधानसभा के लिये प्रत्याशी तय किये जाते है ,इस क्षेत्र मे हर समाज का व्यक्ति या नेता अपनी जाति का झुठा आंकडा देकर राजनेतिक दलो के सामने अपनी दावेदारी जताता है ,ओर वह सफल भी हो जाता है हाल ही मे उज्जैन के एक व्यक्ति ने अपने समाज (बलाई) के मतदाताओ की संख्या सबसे अधिक बता कर अपनी उम्मीद्वारी को मजबुती से प्रस्तुत कर दी । उनकी इस दावेदारी मे हमारे समाज बांधु भी शामिल थे ….जबकी वास्तव मे उज्जैन जिले मे चमारो की संख्या सबसे अधिक होने के बावजुद हम कुछ नही कर पा रहे है ..क्योकि हमारा शिक्षित वर्ग अपनी जात छुपाता है ,हमारा शिक्षित अपने आपको चमार मानता हि नही है अपनी झुठी शान के लिये हमारा शिक्षित हर महिने छ: महिने मे जात बदलने का शिगुफा छोडता है ,ओर हमारे अशिक्षित समाज जनो को गुमराह करता है । हमारे वो शिक्षित जो शासकिय सेवा मे थे ..अपने सेवा काल मे उन्होने कभी समाज की ओर देखा ही नही ,ओर जैसे ही सेवानिव्रत हुये उनके दिमाग मे राजनेतिक किडे काटने लगे ….इन सेवानिव्रत लोगो के साथ वो लोग भी जुडे जिन्हे अपनी जात बताने मे शर्म आती है .. हमारा शिक्षित वर्ग गुरु रविदासजी के स्थान पर मेघरिषी को अपनाने का प्रायास करते हुवे समाज को गुमराह कर मेघवाल बनाने का प्रयास कार रहा है ,जबकी सांविधान के अनुच्छेद 341एव 342 के अधीन म.प्र. राज्य के संबंध मे (संशोधन) आधिनियम 1976 के अंतर्गत चमार जाति को अनुक्रामांक 14 पर आंकित किया है मेघवाल जाति को अनुक्रामांक 38 पर दर्ज किया है .14 नम्बर पर चमार जाति मे ( Chamar, Chamari, Bairwa, Bhambhi, Jatav, Mochi, Regar, Nona, Rohidas, Ramnami, Satnami, Surjyabanshi, surjyaramnami, Ahirwar,Chamar, Mangan, Raidas )कुल 17 फिरके है,इन 17 फिरको को छोड हमारा स्वार्थी शिक्षित वर्ग जिसको अपनी जात “चामार” बताने मे शर्म आती है । जबकी समाज मे ऐसे शिक्षित मात्र 5% है लेकिन ये लोग सेवानिव्रत लोग है और इनके दिमाग मे समाज को तोडने की फितरत है ,इसी कारण ये लोग समाज को खांडित करने का काम कर रहे है….. लेकिन कई ऐसे शिक्षित लोग भी है जो हजारो की भीड मे भी चिल्ला- चिल्ला कर कहते है कि “मै चमार हु ओर मुझे चमार होने पर गर्व है,मुझे गर्व है कि मै उस गुरु रविदास का वांशज हु जिन्हे भारत ही नही बलकी सारा सांसार संत शिरोमणी कहकर शीश झुकाता है “ ……….जय रविदास……..

We should be proud of our identities…..as the profession to which we all belong was once of our Gurus who carried them with diginty. we brothers should let not some selfish politician and general castes to divide us by religion, region,language,communally..etc and rule. They are doing it as their number is less.. We should not compare our position, profession among our self.. Best inspiration for us should be Baba saheb who felt the pain of all our communities not and just fought for mahars.. We all should celebrate birthdays of all Dalit Gurus and shaheeds like Baba Deep Singh ji, Baba Jeevan singh ji etc… Britishers had recognized our bravery, if they can make use of our full potential why cant we do for our communities and gave a befiting reply to castiest people who still carries out attrocities on poor people

Life is full of ups and downs, and we really need to help each other make the most of it, and if we can do that with all we all make life a little easier and a little better.

एक चौथाई भारतीय आज भी मानते हैं छुआछूत :- संविधान छुआछूत को 64 साल पहले ही खत्म कर चुका है लेकिन लोगों के मन में आज भी यह कुप्रथा बसी हुई है। एक चौथाई से ज्यादा भारतीय छुआछूत मानते हैं और अपने घरों में किसी न किसी रूप में इसका पालन करते हैं।
नैशनल काउंसिल ऑफ अप्लाईड इकनॉमिक रीसर्च (NCAER) और अमेरिका की मैरिलैंड यूनिवर्सिटी ने एक अध्ययन में पाया कि हर चौथा भारतीय छुआछूत को मानता है। छुआछूत मानने वालों में हर धर्म और जाति के लोग शामिल हैं। यह सर्वे भारत भर के 42000 घरों में किया गया। लोगों के जवाबों से पता चलता है कि छुआछूत मानने वालों में सबसे ज्यादा ब्राह्मण हैं, उसके बाद ओबीसी हैं। छुआछूत सबसे ज्यादा हिंदुओँ, सिखों और जैनियों में पाई गई। 1956 में स्थापित NCAER भारत की सबसे पुरानी और सबसे बड़ी स्वतंत्र संस्था है जो आर्थिक मामलों में रीसर्च करती है। 2011-12 में इसने देश का सबसे बड़ा गैर सरकारी सर्वे किया था। इसी सर्वे के नतीजों में यह बात सामने आई है कि भारत में छुआछूत किस हद तक घर-घर में फैली है। इस सर्वे के पूरे नतीजे 2015 तक आ पाएंगे। अंग्रेजी अखबार इंडियन एक्सप्रेस ने इस बारे में छापी खबर में बताया है कि सर्वे में पूछा गया कि क्या आपके परिवार में कोई छुआछूत को मानता है। अगर इस सवाल का जवाब नहीं है, तो दूसरा सवाल था – क्या आप अपने किचन में अनुसूचित जाति के किसी व्यक्ति को आने देंगे या उसे अपने बर्तन इस्तेमाल करने देंगे?
भारतभर के 27 फीसदी लोगों ने पहले सवाल का जवाब हां में दिया। हां कहने वालों में सबसे ज्यादा 52 फीसदी ब्राह्मण थे। 24 फीसदी कथित ऊंची जाति के गैर ब्राह्मण थे।…………..

We have no supreme body. Because some of us are hindu who follow many dera babas like sirsa wala dera and soo many others.
Some of us are baudhist who dont follow hindu saints not even ravidass and no our person.
Some of us are total idiots like our haryana punjab village chamars who day night talk about baba saheb ambedkar but worship fake kalpnik gods like ram krishan gugga madi peer fakir and all hindu’s stuff but have ambedkar’s photos on their walls at their home. They are most idiotic persona who dont know anything about baba sahib ambedkar ji.
Some of us in punjab and some parts of north india follow bale wala baba ji but those baba has done nothing for our community totally nothing except their gyan and bani bhazan like things which are don’t matter at present time materiaistic word. Because every other community is thinking to move forward but chamars still going backward on opposite side by saying that this all is maya this money is not good this name fame is not right. They are biggest and worst assholes of our community. .. so now you know we are devided upto now amd most of us still believe in hindu religion and their kalpnik fake gods. I would request to the web site manager that while listing the all Gurudwaras of Sant Shiromani Ravidas ji Maharaj constructed / working monuments build up in different countries add their photos/ pictures along with their address and they should be depicted on the world map in the country concerned to make more awareness among the community. Amrita Virk (singer) – Virk is a 100% Jatt name not Ravdassia/Chamar name. If she really is a Dalit/Ravdassia, then it means either she is using name of Jatt people from her village because she does not have her own Ravidassia name or she is using Virk name for commercial reasons or using it out of an inferiority complex.

Last names tend to overlap with Rajputs and other equivalent castes such as Khatri, Gujjars and Jatts because either of these castes can become a Rajput. Chamars on the other hand do use Jatt last names which is wrong on their part proving an inferiority complex on their part. Guru said everyone is equal and should be treated equally, but he never encouraged mixing between communities. Ethnically they are too dissimilar. The castes Jatts, Brahmins, Khatri’s are ethnic Punjab’s, when they migrated to the region the land wasn’t called Punjab and they pushed the Dravidian’s out of the land to the South and Central India. Chamars are either the leftover locals needed for work or immigrants. Real pride can’t be obtained by stealing Jatt names. Also if you Chamars are “Punjabi” then speak your native language why speak Hindi, everyone will understand you in the comments. And don’t say because Hindi is our national language you have nothing to prove to India, Punjabi is saadi maa boli and it comes first. Guru made everyone equal so use Singh as a last name. The reality is that Punjab state on both sides has suffered a lot from the hands of India, specifically with Partition and people with annkh you don’t buy into the propaganda fed by India in schools. No self-respecting Punjabi is proud of “India”, as it’s responsible for dividing Punjab, the Arya Samaj movement encouraging Brahmin Punjabi’s to take on Hindi as their mother tongue on basis of Religion. If Chamars are proud of that then okay. Punjab needs to be it’s own country to protect it’s language, they have no reason to be proud of India, India owes them a great deal since most of the Indian army is comprised of them, specifically martial castes not Dalits. In Sikh majority Khalistan is needed.
